QR Code Generator
Create customizable QR codes instantly. Download high-resolution PNGs or vector SVGs with no watermarks and no limits. 100% secure client-side generation.
100% Secure & Private QR Generation
Unlike most online QR code generators, The Simple Toolbox generates your QR codes entirely within your browser. We do not save your embedded data, we do not track scans, and we do not add watermarks.
Many shady sites will trick you by creating a "Dynamic" QR code that points to their servers first, only to redirect to your actual link. This allows them to hold your QR code hostage behind a paywall later on. Our tool generates Static QR codes. They point directly to your data, forever.
SVG vs PNG Exports
When to use SVG
SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) is a math-based format. It can be scaled infinitely without losing quality. Export as SVG if you are printing the QR code on large banners, billboards, or putting it into Adobe Illustrator/Figma for professional design.
When to use PNG
PNG is a pixel-based image format. We export our PNGs at a high 1024x1024 pixel resolution. Use PNG if you are putting the QR code directly into a Microsoft Word document, a website, social media graphic, or an email.
Error Correction Levels Explained
QR codes were designed for industrial environments and can be scratched, smudged, or partially obscured and still scan perfectly. This is due to "Error Correction" data embedded within the code. Our generator allows you to change this level:
- Low (7%): Creates the simplest looking QR code. Best for small screens where scanning conditions are perfect. Least redundant data.
- Medium (15%): The standard default. A good balance between a clean-looking code and damage resistance.
- Quartile (25%): High durability. Ideal for printing on marketing materials that might get wrinkled or weathered.
- High (30%): Super dense. Can sustain up to 30% damage and still be readable. Mandatory if you plan on placing a large logo over the center of the QR code in Photoshop later.
